The inaugural season of Elite Premier Futsal is well and truly underway, with Exeter Quickly taking an early lead thanks to a hard-fought win over SAINTS on Monday night. STGW occupy second spot after winning both of their fixtures, with new team Cheetahs and Scoregasm rounding out the top four.
Futsal League 1 at Yeronga is also hotting up, with BEROCCA JUNIORS stamping their mark by winning their first two games, scoring 16 and conceding a solitary goal in the process. Our Mums are in second position on the ladder despite an 8-0 defeat against the league leaders on Monday. Celtic fc have moved into third after a 6-4 win over Flat Feet United, with Dinamo in fourth.
Camp Hill’s Futsal League 2 competition has two early frontrunners in SC FC and Fiorentina Turner. SC FC lead the way after banging in 25 goals in their first two games. Show Me Da Mané, Six Offenders and Game of Throw Ins will all be hoping to climb the leaderboard over the next few weeks in search of promotion to Futsal League 1.
Somerville House Futsal League 2 has two early leaders in Futsal Fetish and Q G C. Both have recorded a perfect three wins from three games and look set to battle it out for promotion. NF Tractor Collective FC and Horndogs will be looking to improve their positions of third and fourth respectively over the next few gameweeks.
As we approach finals in La Macelleria Monday Mixed Combined, GOLAZOS have continued their fine form with a 9-4 win over rivals Prestige Worldwide this week. Only one point separates the leaders from second-placed Norfolk & Chance, who have also been tough to beat this season, winning all but two of their 16 games so far. The top four is completed by Prestige Worldwide and Wombats, both on 33 points, just one ahead of Who is In who will be looking to secure finals Futsal over the last remaining games.
Grill’d Tuesday Mixed Combined is also heating up, with perennial powerhouse Paddington Pansies edging surprise packets Cheeses Rocks on goal difference at the top of the table. Cheeses Rocks battled to a 5-4 win against third-placed KEMARI last night, and have now won all eight of their games this season. GYPSIES occupy the last of the four finals positions.
Wednesday Men’s Combined sees BEROCCA JUNIORS and Molyballers sharing an early lead, with five points each after two games. Soton express, FC Rolling Potatoes and Trip Hazzard have all picked up a win each and will be looking to make their way up the leaderboard over the coming weeks.
And finally in Thursday Men’s, UnAthletico Madrid have shown strong form with five wins from five games, leading The Cartel in second by four points. Dragonball and Go With The Flo round out the top four, leaving Boogie Boys with one hand on the wooden spoon, after five losses from five games. They’ll be hoping for a turnaround in fortunes this week as they take on Go With The Flo.
